Close to the Vancouver International airport runs a peninsula used as a park and beach area.
Iona beach is sorta like most of our beaches, mud in the day time waiting for the tide to roll in and then you sit by a true waterfront, although I wouldn't recommend swimming there.
On a beautiful day it is full of bikers, lovers, old people and families having picnics, reading a book, enjoying the peace and quiet.
Canada Geese stroll by your noses and the air is full of mockingbird and chickadee songs. The area attracts hippies and we were able to find many Volkswagon Vans sporting hippie designs all over them.
The marsh was full of cat tails and weed plants which bloom beautiful yellow flowers in spring.
We could see in the horizon what I believe to be Cypress ski mountain. Most of the snow has already melted in the mountains. I have to check because only Mt Baker in Washington never totally melts and it take 8 hours to climb this mountain by car, or so they say lol
This beautiful girl, astride her magnificent steed, walked by and out into the ocean where she let the horse run a bit.
It was so well behaved and knew the course he should go and return on. He was a huge horse and I felt envy for this young lady looking so petit on this gentle giant :) They returned to this old riding stable not very far away.
I took a shot of a few Canada geese which I can now say are mine since they didn't run away.
You don;t have to go far to enjoy the country side in BC.
There is still very much a wild side still in existence and you wish they would stop building so people have a place to go nearby without having to search deeper into the country side disturbing nature, needed for the wildlife.
Hope you all enjoyed your week end

Clinton will forever be known as one of the most entertaining Presidents. lol
He even upstages President Barack Obama and looks non the less for wear.
Now seriously folks!
Do you guys actually know what sex is? asks Clinton.
Why is it ok for some and not for others especially when the hotels are full
of companions who are basically hired to please you.
It's a dangerous world out there lol
I'd be angry at the hotel more than I'd be angry at the service men.
They know what goes on there but then the secret service should have made sure the hotel cleared it
of this dangerous element preying on tired men with innocent families at home.
These are women who prey on men.
Men are prey and nothing more.
Remember what Clinton had to do?
He lied under oath to protect his wife from humiliation and learned nothing today is a secret.
Today, they even force you to put a smart electric meter and charge you triple the amount
so they can know everything you do in your house.
How many lights you burn, how many tv's you run, how many stoves cook, how many elements you have on your counter. How many computers you run. How many times the toilet lights go on.... and who knows what else?
Nothing is secret today and these women will make plenty to find themselves on the front pages of newspapers, cause people want to know lol
Well ... ho hum.
I guess people can't wait for the next step in history for virtual sex to come to be.
That should please everyone and be legal.
lol
Have a beautiful day!

If you have nothing to do, come to the Steve Nash Party
April 28 2012
12PM - 4 PM
Meet the reps and see wat's up.
Get fit for Spring and summer
Nothing to lose but pounds for your health :)
See you there !! :)
This was my day today.
Had the transmission oil changed.
Visited Grecos Specialty store and got goodies we can't buy every where like Basturma, soudjoux,
special olives, dry lamb sausages, and very old gouda cheese which was full of flavor.
Visted Michaels my favorite art and crafts store.
They have a new store on King George, Surrey, BC . YEAY!!!
Westminster Saving's is busy working with your money.
Snap On is on the ball visiting customers
Mr Lube gave me free windshield wipers for being a good customer
Greyhound is busy taking people for rides.
And the Surdell Cabs are doing well with their yellow hybrid cars
As far as I could see, it was all systems go today around my neighborhood.
I forgot Costco which was packed with cars.
It's packed every day.
I'd say I had a very productive day and for once was glad it rained so I could use
my free windshield wipers. I was already looking at my old ones thinking they should be changed soon and the Boys at Mr Lube took one look and said Lady.....you need a break.
Here....enjoy.
They were so nice and polite I will go back.
They have been taking care of my car since the first day I got it
and the service is great.
Not only do they do a good job but they give you the paper and coffee to boot while you sit in the car.
This song, by Tina Turner (who is now 70), What's Love Got to Do With It,
reminded me of a T shirt I had, with Pepe le Pew on it.
He was always chasing the cat, thinking she was a skunk
or maybe he didn't care she was a cat.
He was a lover, A romantic, with a scent of love. lol
The saying on my t - shirt was
What's love got to do with it.
It always made me smile.
The cat always tried to get away.
And that's so true.
What does being or not being in love
have to do with living, loving and/ or enjoying life?
Now these were great songs and great times.
Chuck Berry and Johnny be Good
Where have they all gone? :)
These songs were alive and kept you movin
They still keep you movin and spring is a good time to move.
I guess with the sunshine being out for a change it makes
the whole world much brighter.
Got a banana strawberries orange and an apple to blend with sour creme a bit of milk and shredded ice.
Topped it with chocolate bisquik and whipped creme and I felt like dancin.
It was sooooo good.!!
It was tutti fruity all day long for this lady lol
What a Sunday!!
Whew!
:)

Today I grilled some Pacific Saury fish. This is the very first time I bought it out of curiosity but I am glad I did.
It is also known as the annoying fish, sanma, fall sword fish etc..
It is a cheap fish , with a pointy nose, very fatty and tasty.
The Japanese seem to love it.
They say you eat it the day before pay day when money runs out. lol
In England it's used to catch other fish. You can only catch them in fall or winter.
I don't know why it's not popular. Maybe it's because people don't know about it.
I found it to be very delicious and not smelly like Portugal sardines which we love as well.
Three fish for 3.49 Not bad.
You eat it with soy and rice.
It reminds me of the salty Schmaltz Herring. I used to buy which was very fatty and delicious.
We'd chop it into 1 inch slices and marinate it in oil and onions since it was already salty.
Then you'd eat it with garlic bread and mmmmmm.
We can't find Schmaltz herring either. I think its sold in Chicago.
Well just shared a new discovery I made with this fish.
Now I have to go see if there is more for sale.
:)
Have a good one

Yesterday was marijuana day in Downtown Vancouver.
Pretty docile group . The police said not to smoke more than one or they would have trouble bringing sleepy people home lol
One young girl stood up and said she didn't know what the big deal was all about.
It does nothing.
The police just told every one not to smoke more than one cause it puts you to sleep.
So ...... how does it not do anything to you? Will they drive home?
Sleep on the street or in bars? Get picked up by predators?
One doesn't have to look far to see how long term marijuana use affects people.
We have our own local Margaret Trudeau.
Look at what drugs did to her body and her mind.
In the 60's we had good ol Timothy Leary in Playboy telling every one not to listen to
people. Drugs don't do anything to you. He tried them all and gave you details, case by case, how he did with them
He especially loved LSD as a mind expanding drug.
In the end, his body aged and withered. He became sick in many ways and then he stood up and
told every one. Don't do it. His mind didn't expand that much.
For some reason that didn't get advertised as much.
We also don't see many advertisements of Yul Brenner, Big John Wayne and Bullits' Steve McQueen,
who died of lung cancer, telling people: Don't Smoke.
Now why is that?
Now we also have many Playboy Bunnies, also in the hip scene and probably also mixed up with drugs. People like Marilyn Munroe, Jayne Mansfield, Dorothy Stratten, Sue Williams,Claudia Jennings, Anna Nicole Smith , Star Stowe, Carol Williams, Tiffany Stone, all
started their drug journey very innocently and then it grew big and ended up in tragedy.
Marijuana is never enough. You start with it and then you want more, bigger, better.....
It's easy to put something more into a joint.
Janis Joplin went wild using drugs. Got her self into many a pickle. In the end one mistake cost her her life.
Her dealer was actually a careful sort." Is that an oxymoron or what?
He always used a chemist to measure his drug's purity. But on that
fateful weekend, the chemist was out of town. Rather than miss out on
another weekend's profits, the dealer would cut his own batch. Little
did he know he would end up with a deadly concoction that was between 50
and 80% pure, making it too strong for most users and catching many of
them off guard. Reportedly, seven other users died from the strong
heroin sold that weekend."
I remember going to Place Villa Marie where Jefferson Airplane played and sang White Rabbit
This was a thrill of a lifetime for me. The place was packed with hippies and the air was full of marijuana but you didn't need drugs to sway to the music. It was the best ever.
Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit
One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall
And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
Call Alice
When she was just small
When men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know
When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"
Remember what the dormouse said:
"Feed your head
Feed your head
Feed your head"
So being young once, I tell people, been there, saw that, talked to the same people who believed in drugs,
saved a few, never took any and don't promote them to anyone, especially to the young who have everything to live for.
We will never know what happened to this actress after she began to flirt not only with success but in politics.
It got her into a postage stamp and stamped into eternal history books.
It got her associated with the President of the United States
Marilyn Monroe
Changed herself into a beautiful butterfly
She bedazzled the world with her talents
But like all beautiful things
They come to an early end.
The world is cruel with its wants and desires and
To live in such a world, is very lonely and
Dangerous, since we are lead to believe in a false sense of security
"People change so you can let go Things go wrong so you can appreciate it when they go right You believe lies till you learn to only trust yourself Sometimes good things fall apart, so better things can fall together."
We all know these quotes to be part of a life truth
On the micro level but when looking at the whole picture
People never change or let go
Issues we fought about in ancient times we still fight over
If this doesn't make you think that maybe there is a right and a wrong, then what will?
Things always go wrong and sometimes wrongs force people to believe they are right
Lies will always be lies no matter what you or other people believe or make it out to be.
Good things never change. They are exchanged for bad things. and it becomes our loss
Problems in our world never change.
It's a constant fight that goes up and down in waves as
we try to find our way.The old people depart and the new and still uneducated replace them
and it begins again.
It takes a long time to educate a man and just when he finally learns its too late.
All he can do is leave behind a legacy explaining himself to people by how he lived and what he believed in.
A legacy of peace or violence.
A legacy of vanity or self less ness.
A legacy of lies or of truths.
Everything we do becomes what we are
and that's a lesson people relearn in every life time.
We see legacies clearer on roads less travelled but on the main road they are also made every day.
What has changed from ancient Empire builders?
Before, we had men led by kings, die in bloody battles
In some places this is still the case
Today, mans' world is led by systems which quietly transgress borders.
They are not seen but control our basic needs for survival:
food water and shelter.
Systems bedazzle us into thinking we have changed but
our security as a people is in danger every day
The world is a cruel place and to be a survivor
is a lonely journey.
In the end Marilyn said "You believe lies till you learn to only trust yourself"
This is the smartest thing she ever said and
The legacy she left for us to follow.
Who'd a thought it came from a dumb blonde :)
Have a great Day!
A young boy, about eight years old, was at the corner "Mom & Pop" grocery picking out a pretty good size box of laundry detergent.
The grocer walked over, and, trying to be friendly, asked the boy if he had a lot of laundry to do.
"Oh, no laundry," the boy said, "I'm going to wash my frog."
"But you shouldn't use this to wash your frog. It's very powerful and if you wash your frog in this, he'll get sick. In fact, it might even kill him."
But the boy was not to be stopped and carried the detergent to the counter and paid for it, even as the grocer still tried to talk him out of washing his frog.
About a week later the boy was back in the store to buy some candy. The grocer asked the boy how his frog was doing.
"Oh, he died," the boy said.
The grocer, trying not to be an I-told-you-so, said he was sorry the frog died but added, "I tried to tell you not to use that detergent on your frog."
"Well," the boy replied, "I don't think it was the detergent that killed him."
"Oh? What was it then?"
"I think it was the spin cycle!"

Here in BC crows are spirit birds for the North American Indians and it is frowned upon to hurt them. I have to say they grow very big and are not afraid of you at all.
I never liked crows because of the way they caw but I have to admire how intelligent they are and this is also why they can be taught to talk. I wouldn't mind having one for a pet.
Some starving people in Lithuania, used to eat crows and they were a dish presented in hotel restaurants, as well as used like currency between people
In Latvia the dead were offered to the crow to eat and so people are not allowed to eat them. They were seen as holy birds.
We also have a phrase - EATING CROW . It relates to saying something that's wrong and then being shamed or teased or suffering the consequences of people proving you wrong. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
And a bunch of crows is not called a flock but a murder. lol
They can live up to 17 years and apparently mate for life.
This is White Rock , BC As it can be seen, this rock is why the place is called White Rock. Its sorta like a small city bordering the waterfront of the United States. Lots of people come here in summer for the shops, restaurants and to sit and enjoy the view of the ocean. They spoiled it by putting a lot of parking meters and unless you want to walk a steep incline uphill, there is no other place to park So we dont go there anymore. The RCMP is quick to ticket you for being 5 minutes late. No one needs this pressure on the beach.
We spent many years walking this pier playing with the crabs and catching them as well. The kids loved to jump off the end of the pier, late in the afternoon when the tide comes in. And boats are parked behind the rocky bed made to cut the waves. On the other side is Blaine and more beaches to sit on . There is a marina on the border where you can see seals sunning themselves and once we were sitting in the boat, and we saw a few killer whales. The waves can become quite big here. It used to be an easy border crossing for older people. You drive through, they ask you where you are going. You say to get gas or to do shopping and they say have a great day. Coming back is the same because people were honest and declared when they had to. Now things all changed because new people came and turned our countries into a zoo. And we can't say NO. By the border in White Rock we also have an Indian reserve and it's usually quiet. The people are very nice.
We don't live near White Rock. Yesterday we went shopping for groceries and came to our car to load. This seemingly American Indian Man came over to ask us if we had money for him to get to White Rock. I guess his destination was to get to the Semiahmoo Indian Reserve.
We have a law that it is illegal to solicit for money because too many were in parking lots begging and annoying people and here is this tall middle aged man, all banged up,looking non too healthy, asking for money. My husband told him we have no money. With our social services they should not have to ask for money and learn to budget like every one else does. We saw him eying my purse which was in the cart, debating if he should steal it or be arrogant enough to tell us to look into my purse for money. Now it was becoming a little stressful because we could see him coming out with a knife. Desperate drug addicts do this. Instead he decided to ask if he could take our cart which is supposed to have a loony (one dollar) in it to use so people return their carts after shopping. I never leave my purse in the cart. It usually is the first thing I put into the car but with my husband pushing the cart I got distracted and this is when bad things happen.
My husband becoming annoyed by this time, said no because we have a special token used just for carts. You have to buy this cart token and then you never worry about not having the right change. People were coming into the parking lot now and he saw he couldn't get away with my purse.
So he went away and my husband grumbled saying there is going to be more of this going around pretty soon. No one will be safe anymore especially in shopping centers. He heard my husband commenting and almost came back to fight.
Well this fell right into my blog of yesterday of how drugs will affect people and the quality of life for every one. Especially with road rage.
Drugs should never be legalized. People should work for less social services and more for jobs so people get themselves out of ruts and begin feeling respectable and self reliant.
That's the best way. Now I have to go to the Superstore and tell them to put security in the parking lot so beggers don't attack people. This isn't the first time something like this happens there. The last time was an old woman crying begging, saying if she goes home with nothing she gets beaten. So now we will have laws passed to protect the elderly from abuse. I gave her 10 dollars and next time I was there she came to ask for more. The time before that it was a young man also needing bus fare for two people He got 12 dollars from me and went to White Spot to have lunch. White Spot is an expensive place to eat for a man with no money. The time before that was a man who needed diapers for his girlfriends baby. The time before that was a man who needed propane for his gas tank. He was a transient with no car. The time before that our new truck was broken into and being hot wired to be robbed for part resale. You can't keep being a good Samaratin like this, being financially abused every time you go out.
Now it was mentioned about how many jobs would be lost if the prisons closed down. The last thing on my mind is prisons. We will not have enough prisons to hold a nation of people if every one is high and ill and attacking God fearing people who have their act together trying to do the right thing. We live in a beautiful nice clean country and we used to be safe here. Fraud, corruption, drugs and violence leaves the door open to either military dictatorship, anarchy, or invasion.
No country can avoid this from happening if the people don't willingly obey laws passed which are good for every one. We did well with give a little take a little but now its becoming so the ones you give a little to, have more rights and privileges than the ones who give a little. Ask any drug addict if he had to do it again, would he do it different and every one of them says yes. At first it's fun, like drinking and then the fun gets out of hand, people get hurt and innocent victims die like maybe your grand children. No one needs to pay into healthcare and social services if they legalize drugs and be of the opinion that every man stands for himself, makes his own decision to either live or die. I always fought for life because I know people care about theirs but if they don't..... The people who take drugs made the decision to die the day they take them as do people who smoke cigarettes full of arsenic and cyanide. But society has to pay to save their lives and after a throat operation, they go out the next day and smoke through the tubes in their throats. So what do we pay for if people do not understand not to smoke.? Then we have young Mothers, who care about their lives, who have to die because of the ones who don't care about their lives enough to stop doing things which kill them, eating up the resources and financial support. The whole purpose of our countries is to promote freedom and democracy through laws to make it a nice place to live. Instead people come with hidden agendas to rob pillage and destroy from the inside out. Fun and parties have replaced learning and stagnated industry. We give everything away until there is nothing left to give and then we will eat each other, as history shows over and over again. Europe is a prime example of overspending. England was very smart to stay out of the Euro dollar plan. You can't keep spending and creating band aid solutions, because these things keep growing and now affecting the whole world.
So we have bad men, like Steven Harper, trying to stop this and these kind of videos have to be seen for what they are. Lies. Reins have to be pulled in and no one likes the word NO. Our country stands as a defender of men but if we are being corrupted from the inside, this is a disease and it must be curtailed. Otherwise, even to go shopping for groceries will become a challenge like the one which could have ended badly for my husband and myself yesterday.Criminals today have no soul. They believe in vicious behavior against their victims because they are high. This is not the first time and this will not be the last. People used to taking, do not like the word no. It's insulting to them just as it was insulting for our immigrant parents who came to this country to ask for help. People built this country because of good work ethics, not hand outs. The more you give, the more they will ask for, so then no one has the need to work. People work to support their own families, not to support drugs. Have a good one.:)
P.S. Please visit Westra World on the right hand side of my blog and vote for the pay it forward contest, so my blogger friend can continue to battle breast cancer. It costs you nothing but a few minutes of your time. She has 900 votes so far. Thanks!!! :)
Judging from the last summit meeting and by videos such as these, people do not want government to do the right thing by them. They make our Prime Minister look like an evil man. In whose best interest is it to do this if not the devils? Who tends to gain here? Remember, God is out of it. He gave Adam and Eve rights to fight for survival and learn the hard way to do the right thing. To think before they act . Learn not to fall into the snakes' temptation and hypnotic trance he wants man in, to follow his rules, in chaos.
People according to this video, want freedom to self destruct. They are the guy in the tower, telling lies to themselves and others. So if they self destruct who will they be taking with them?
Where are the rights of people who reject drugs? Will any be left? Or will we have to continue to pay more and more for their mistakes and die as well? Is this democracy and liberty we are fed to believe in? We fight for freedom to make a better world. If it's not better and people enslave themselves through drugs, then what's the difference? These are lies. Democracy and liberty requires rules, regulations , laws and especially good will, to work. Otherwise We don't need bin Laden or Islam to do the job of destroying all us infidels. All we need are these selfless Liberals, who say everything is ok and make millions, laughing their way to the bank, while watching people fall over themselves , killing each other for legal drugs. It makes as much sense as saying invest in China instead of your own country if you don't want to end up poor. NO! invest in your own country and in your own people.
How is a man, trying to do the right thing, viewed as a man who ends democracy and liberty? Does not liberty require laws to make it work for every one? Does it not require a thinking educated man? How do you think and educate yourself under the influence of some drug? How do you run a business.? How do you run government? How do you hire policemen to defend you or teachers to teach you, if everyone is high?
What kind of mentality do we have in society today, which fears laws to make living safe, productive, clean, and comfortable?
These evil people, pretend to be our friends, while killing our children, and destroying the fabric of society, piece by piece.
Drugs should NEVER be legalized.
People will not make money out of it but society will have to spend tons on fixing all the broken people, children, lack of employment skills, corruption and fraud in companies by employees who need money to buy more drugs, computer ID fraud, forcing people into poverty through deception and lies. Literally .......Hell on earth.
There are always those who spoil good things for the rest of the people. That's a fact and they don't care about democracy or liberalism but first to use slogans to instill fear into people. Look at what this BAD MAN is doing. He is working to keep you safe. What a BAD MAN! Well I elected him to be a leader and a bad man if he is working to stop drugs reaching my children.
This is not a time to be negligent, naive, trusting.......believing that people who say everything is ok, is indeed ok. Drugs are never ok and our nation should be united behind our Prime Minister Harper with regard to this issue.
Just think of it this way. What is the difference if Mr Harper ends democracy and liberalism for the right reasons, or the people losing it anyway because they will be too drugged up, or walking around with fried brains, in a country with no jobs, and no control over anything? Is our next generation to be born all defective because Mothers are taught to drink and do drugs? We feared Quebec separating and then what.... willing give our nation away whole, to someone else because we're too high to care. We say we can;t give people freedom if they can;t handle it. That's our reasoning behind not allowing Iran to obtain nuclear energy and yet we want freedom to do drugs, which put our nation into the same category. Are we to be led by people high and laughing while flipping a switch to kill millions of people? It's insanity. Laws are made to protect and defend people. Under these laws man can be free because he is safe to walk the streets, work, play, raise families without ugliness around him.
Our job as a nation, is to protect people from themselves. We were always defenders of men. We went in to help people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel, etc.. and what is our reward? Passing laws to help kill our own people? Dull our future? Live in dreamland and escapism? That's not life!
I am very disappointed to see such things and people supporting them, defending the right to legalize drugs. Quebec is seen as a racist province but they passed a law just now saying there is zero tolerance for anyone under 21 to have even one sip of alcohol, driving. Of course they will be sued for this but this was the right thing to do and if the judge doesn't see it this way then we have to ask what kind of judges we have? Whose side are they on if not laws to protect man from evil?
This is a good law so now what..... we legalize drugs and let people drive under another influence? Why do people need drugs? Should they not look into their lives to see what the underlying causes are for this need? We never needed them before and now all of a sudden we need them? Makes no sense at all.
We have to stand united against people who hate the thinking man. We have a man fighting for our rights to have a healthy brain. I'd say that's a good fight and Harper needs our support.
This dog is amazing. And not one swear word was used to make him do something. That's why I love old comedians too , like Rodney Dangerfield, Milton Berle, Red Buttons, Totie Fields, Johnny Carson, Don Rickles, George Burns. They sure are missed. They made jokes that crossed through all age groups. Old Comedians were funny without using bad language. They knew how to laugh at themselves and I guess this is what made them funny.
Like for example we have to give it to parent Diplomacy.
A Son calls his Mother to ask how she is She says: I am feeling very weak. Why?Asks the son Because I haven't eaten in 38 days. answers the Mother Why? asks the son Because I didn't want my mouth to be full when you called. lol -------------------------------

They left behind videos for us to enjoy. I especially loved to see Ed Sullivan there. He always had a REALLY BIG SHOW and so many people were discovered and became great stars because of him.
My parents were the perfect couple. They always stuck up for one another. My Dad had a lot of gusto for life and My Mom complimented him by supporting everything he did or wanted to do. Or almost everything lol Then he'd stop and reflect and know she was right. He was right in many constructive things She was right when it came to life and people. Whenever he liked something, he'd always say: Beautiful! Just like my wife. Everyone would want to come to see who his wife was. Then they'd tell him he indeed had a beautiful wife and he always loved hearing it. He was a brat this way. I used to watch them the last few years of their lives and they were like two 16 year old love birds. He, with his arm around her shoulders and She, with her head on his.
My Mom was sick with Parkinsons and Alzheimers Dad watched over her with so much patience. When she had visions he would spend a good two hours almost every night, cause that's when she had them, explaining to her what she had and then she would realize her brain was playing tricks on her.
It was both sad and beautiful to watch the two of them.
They said: You know. It can happen any time now. Always with a smile
And I'd reply: Nah. You still have many years ahead. Always with a furrowed brow. I could never believe or accept that this life force would ever end. It couldn't and it shouldn't.
No matter how much you prepare, you are never ready to say good bye. Never ready to close the book as you reach the end of a good story. The story lives on. You put the book away and then your eye grazes over the shelf where it lies You pick it up and memories flood in
While time stands still Music and songs return Laughter, comedy, anger, sorrow, forgiveness, hardships, joy, contentment, All the poetry of love and struggles of life Echo, never ending, Through a few well chosen words.
Beautiful! Just like my Wife!
A man is driving along a highway and sees a rabbit jump out across the middle of the road. He swerves to avoid hitting it, but unfortunately the rabbit jumps right in front of the car.
The driver, a sensitive man as well as an animal lover, pulls over and gets out to see what has become of the rabbit. Much to his dismay, the rabbit is the Easter Bunny, and he is DEAD.
The driver feels so awfulthat he begins to cry. A beautiful blonde woman driving down the highway sees a man crying on the side of the road and pulls over.
She steps out of the car and asks the man what's wrong.
"I feel terrible," ! he explains, "I accidentally hit the Easter Bunny with my car and KILLED HIM."
The blonde says,"Don't worry."
She runs to her car and pulls out a spray can. She walks over to the limp, dead Easter Bunny , bends down, and sprays the contents onto him.
The Easter Bunny jumps up, waves its paw at the two of them and hops off down the road.
Ten feet away he stops, turns around and waves again,
he hops down the road another 10 feet, turns and waves,
hops another ten feet, turns and waves,
and repeats this again and again and again and again, until he hops out of sight.
The man is astonished. He runs over to the woman and demands,
"What is in that can? What did you spray on the Easter Bunny ?"
The woman turns the can around so that the man can read the label. It says..
(Are you ready for this?)
(Are you sure?) (You know you're gonna be sorry)
(Last chance)
(OK, here it is)
It says,
"Hair Spray Restores life to dead hair, and adds permanent wave."
Happy Easter!!! P.S. Please visit Westra on her blog to the right and vote for her on the pay it forward contest for cancer treatments Thanks. :)
This song is beautiful, sad and sends chills up your spine.
You can't wait for miracles. Life is to be lived.
My aunt always said: Better live life burning both ends of the candle than not to have lived at all.
I am not sure I agree with her. I know I didn't as a girl. I was not one to venture out to get burned. I wanted to live a little longer even if I had to fight to do it.
I loved my life living it my way, sharing adventures with the man I loved. Young ....free....strong.... Nothing could defeat us, as long as we were together.
We were both children of the world, free spirits, bohemians, survivors living in a free world, that to both of us , is and always will be, a miracle.
So much out there to expand your lungs in.
What did the horse say to whinnie the pooh while whatching his t.v. show?
A: I wish I could hear you whinnie.
There was a famous jockey that never lost a race. When asked how he achieved this,he replied, I whisper in the horse's ear: Roses are red, violets are blue. Horses that lose are made into glue.
---------------------------------------------------------- Q: What is the best type of story to tell a runaway horse? A: A tale of WHOA
-------------------------------------------------------- I had a near death experience that has changed me forever. The other day I went horsesback riding. Everything was going fine until the horse started bouncing out of control. I tried with all my might to hang on, but was thrown off. Just when things could not possibly get worse, my foot gets caught in the stirrup. When this happened, I fell head first to the ground. My head continued to bounce harder as the horse did not stop or even slow down. Just as I was giving up hope and losing consciousness, the Walmart manager came and unplugged it. Thank Goodness for heroes! -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
An out-of-towner accidently drives his car into a deep ditch on the side of a country road. Luckily a farmer happened by with his big old horse named Benny. The man asked for help. The farmer said Benny could pull his car out. So he backed Benny up and hitched Benny to the man's car bumper. Then he yelled, "Pull, Nellie, pull." Benny didn't move. Then he yelled, "Come on, pull Ranger." Still, Benny didn't move. Then he yelled really loud, "Now pull, Fred, pull hard." Benny just stood. Then the farmer nonchalantly said, "Okay, Benny, pull." Benny pulled the car out of the ditch. The man was very appreciative but curious. He asked the farmer why he called his horse by the wrong name three times. The farmer said, "Oh, Benny is blind, and if he thought he was the only one pulling he wouldn't even try."
------------------------------------------------
"Some horses are so polite that when they come to a fence, they stop and let you go over first." ------------------------------------------------
Three race horses stood in their stalls. One said to other others: "I ran 20 races and I won 15 of them!" he bragged. The next said with a snort, "Well, I ran 30 races and won 25 of them!" Then the third horse spoke up proudly, "Yeah, I ran 41 races and won 39 of them!" This seemed to settle the topic when the horses noticed a Greyhound outside their stalls. The Greyhound said, "I ran 100 races and I won 99 of them." The horses looked at each other in amazement and one gasped, "Wow! A talking greyhound!" ------------------------
Miracles! We see one every day. :) Live!!! Love !!! Laugh !!

An old sea captain was sitting on a bench near the wharf when a young man walked up and sat down. The young man had spiked hair and each spike was a different color.... green, red, orange, blue, and yellow. After a while the young man noticed that the captain was staring at him.
"What's the matter old timer, never done anything wild in your life?
The old captain replied, "Got drunk once and married a parrot. I was just wondering if you were my son!"
A young wife, her boorish husband and a young good-looking sailor were shipwrecked on an island.
One morning, the sailor climbed a tall coconut tree and yelled, "Stop making love down there!"
"What's the matter with you?" the husband said when the sailor climbed down. '"We weren't making love."
"Sorry," said the sailor, "From up there it looked like you were."
Every morning thereafter, the sailor scaled the same tree and yelled the same thing. Finally the husband decided to climb the tree and see for himself.
With great difficulty, he made his way to the top.
The husband says to himself, "By golly he's right! It DOES look like they're making love down there!"
A woman was having a medical problem - her husband was snoring very loudly and every night ! So she called the doctor one morning, and asked him if there was anything he could do to relieve her "suffering."
"Well, there is one operation I can perform that will cure your husband" said the doctor, "but it is really rather expensive. It will cost you $10,000 down, and payments of $1000 for 36 months, plus payments for extras of course.
"My goodness!" the woman exclaimed, "that sounds like I'm buying a yacht!"
A man fell overboard from his little sailboat, and was thrashing around in the water when another boat pulled up. "Jump in, we'll save you" - they screamed. "No" cried the drowning man, "God will save me". The scene was repeated twice more and then a helicopter hovered over the man. "We came to rescue you" yelled the pilot. "No, God will save me" was the response again. The man drowned, and as he crossed the Pearly Gates, he ran straight to Jesus. "I placed my faith in You, and You let me drown?! ""Hey!" said Jesus. "I sent three boats and a helicopter".
This is still my very favorite Leonard Cohen Song.
I think I knew his Mother in Montreal. Unbelievable. http://www.contactmusic.com/video/leonard-cohen-dance-me-to-the-end-of-love The above link is the original video. It used to be on You Tube.
Enjoy Lovers everywhere.!!!
